Glendale City Leaders Endorse Ardy Kassakhian for Assembly

Ardy Kassakhian today announced an outpouring of support from Glendale city leaders for his State Assembly campaign. Supporters include former Glendale Mayors Carl Raggio, Zareh Sinanyan, Dave Weaver, and Bob Yousefian, and current Glendale Board of Education members Christine Walters and Dr. Armina Gharpetian. City leaders stand firmly behind Ardy for Assembly District 43

GLENDALE – Ardy Kassakhian today announced an outpouring of support from Glendale city leaders for his State Assembly campaign. Supporters include former Glendale Mayors Carl Raggio, Zareh Sinanyan, Dave Weaver, and Bob Yousefian, and current Glendale Board of Education members Christine Walters and Dr. Armina Gharpetian.

Additionally, Ardy has earned the endorsement of all five members of the Glendale Community College Board: Anita Quiñonez Gabrielian, Dr. Armine Hacopian, Ann H. Ransford, Tony Tartaglia, and Dr. Vahé Peroomian.

“Ardy Kassakhian understands our community and is my choice for State Assembly,” said former Glendale Community College Board member, Victor King. “He has demonstrated a commitment to our community colleges and will make sure that California’s public colleges will be accessible and affordable for everyone.”

Ardy Kassakhian has demonstrated broad community support. Since launching his campaign last year, he has raised more than $300,000 and received endorsements from many community leaders.

Ardy Kassakhian is running to represent Assembly District 43, which includes the communities of Burbank, Glendale, La Cañada Flintridge, La Crescenta-Montrose and the Los Angeles neighborhoods of Atwater Village, East Hollywood, Franklin Hills, Hollywood Hills, Los Feliz and Silver Lake. Ardy Kassakhian grew up and attended public schools in Glendale. He was first elected Glendale City Clerk in 2005. As Clerk, he has reduced government waste by introducing environmentally sound practices, made election information easier to access and worked to increase voter participation.
